Congratulations John on this initiative that will hopefully shape a narrative that most Australians can agree on. My only concern is the continued demonization of China and intent to support an increasingly piratical and exploitative USA that is facilitating the genocide in the middle east to maintain its grip on energy supplies. Consider Trump's ravings in relation to the obliteration of 90 million Iranians and the support he is given by the NATO nations.

Let's not run away with the idea that Australia is more a nation of immigrants today than it was in the 1860s.

It is China that most generously supports material progress across the globe today, more generously than Western nations have ever done. Look at what China has achieved in the space of just 70 years. The communal care, the intelligence, educational achievement support of foreigners in its universities, and the work ethic, and the notion that open source and vigorous competition is superior to monopolization and the licensing of access to technology is more generous in its intent than anything Christianity has ever given us. I am old enough to have experienced the warring between sects that occurred in Australia in my youth.

Adam Smith was a C of E cleric. The C of E upheld the Socialist communal standard when the British empire was at its height. But it promoted sectarian education in this country.

A moral compass is essential. I don't see much evidence of a moral compass in Trump's ravings. As for the Israelis, or the Coalition, Labor and the Greens in Australia that are collectively responsible for our housing crisis, we should hang out heads in shame.
